Palahniuk vs. The Sims 2
Egy YouTube felhasználó, elessarelendil, érdekes kísérletezésbe fogott: Sims 2 karaktereiből összeállított egy videót, amiben Palahniuk, “Haunted” regényéből dolgozta fel Mrs. Clark történetét. Videó alant:

‘Haunted’ review
Currently, I’m writing an essay discussing ‘Rant’ and ‘Haunted’, which is to be posted here. Those who don’t have enough knowledge on ‘Haunted’, check out this site.
‘Guts’ – Hungarian translation
From ‘Haunted’ one of the most powerful story got translated by everlast, a Hungarian blogger. One of the commentaries reflects to ‘Guts’ as if it were suggesting that one could die from sex or masturbation and thus the commentator did not really like the story. My personal opinion is that one can hear so many stories that are all suggesting the fragility of our lives so I do not understand that kind of point of view. (Needless to say, I strongly believe, that making sex frightening was NOT the point of ‘Guts’)
the translation itself:

The Nightmare Box
In Haunted, Palahniuk writes about the mysterious device, ‘The Nightmare Box’, which can be found in an art gallery. whoever takes a glimpse into it, gets mad, just as the bizarre story of mrs. clark depicts.
trying really hard to resist the temptation to label the device as the symbolic manifestation of the lacanian Real, i hereby want to embed a video of ‘The Nightmare Box’, which i intended to the conference i was at.
forgottonspace -a YouTube user made the video and described it as:
“A trailer to a film based on a short story in the novel ‘Haunted’ by Chuck Palahniuk. A college project starring Katja Schorle.”

Sent out with the UK edition of ‘Haunted’
No one fainted the first time I read the short story, ‘Guts’. This was on a Tuesday night, in the writers workshop where my friends and I have shared our work since 1991. Each week, I would read another of the short stories I planned to include in a novel to be called Haunted. My goal was to create horror around very ordinary things: carrots, candles, swimming pools. Microwave popcorn. Bowling balls.
